The Origin of “Spry”
The literal definition of ‘spry’ means the ability to move quickly, easily, and lightly. Founded in 2020 with the purpose of helping with the new rules regarding name, image, and likeness (NIL), Spry began as a third-party technical solution developed to help users to navigate the NIL landscape more easily.
After several years of success helping colleges navigate the NIL landscape with our initial product (now called SpryNIL), Spry will expand their product offerings to include SpryConnect, a general compliance product that will streamline your athletic department’s NIL processes and compliance systems

Our Founder
Lyle was a member of the 2007 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship team at Wake Forest. After embarking on a professional soccer career, Lyle transitioned to the tech industry, where he was one of the first 100 employees at Uber, designing platforms and tools for data consumers. Lyle also holds a Master’s in Sports Management from Columbia University.
