BOWIE, MD — Bowie State University Athletics has partnered with Spry to optimize compliance procedures, enhance communication effectiveness, and guarantee that Bowie State student-athletes, coaches, and administrators all adhere to NCAA regulations.  Leveraging Spry’s platform within the department, Bowie State Athletics achieves a substantial leap forward in streamlining daily operations, all while upholding its unwavering commitment: to model the principles of teamwork, sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and leadership, and instill these principles within each student-athlete.

The Department of Athletics at Bowie State strives to operate at its highest efficiency which was a determining factor in the collaboration with Spry.  Spry’s cutting-edge platform boasts streamlined administrative tasks, a benefit highlighted by Derric West, Bowie State Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. “Spry will empower staff to devote more energy to directly supporting student-athletes and coaches, nurturing success both athletically and academically. Our athletic department is excited to see this partnership propel our operations to new heights,” added West.

Spry provides collegiate athletic departments with a cloud-based and mobile-friendly platform that helps manage various department operations tasks and responsibilities such as recruiting, calendar sharing, document management, communications, NIL management, education, and compliance, and more.

Jackson Donanue


Jackson graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019 where he was a 4-Year Starter and a Captain of the Men's Basketball team. Prior to joining Spry, Jackson gained experience in an array of different industries including Technology (SaaS), Hospitality/Operations, eCommerce (Start-Up), and Consulting. Jackson also holds a Master's Degree in Sports Management from Columbia University.
