Graduation Success Rate (GSR)

Metric used by the NCAA to track academic progress for student-athletes. This metric differs from the Federal Graduation Rate in that student-athletes who transfer from an institution are removed from the cohort (provided they are in good academic standing at the time of transfer) and therefore do not factor into the calculation of the GSR. The GSR is calculated as a percentage of total graduates divided by the total members of an academic cohort within a six-year period.
