Head Count Sports

In NCAA nomenclature, a head count sport is a sport in which any athletic aid received by a student-athletes counts as a full grant in aid.  Under the NCAA structure, the following sports are designated as “head count” sports:

• Football (FBS)
• Basketball (M/W)
• Gymnastics (W)
• Tennis (W)
• Volleyball (W)
