Letter of Intent

A phrase often heard in the recruiting world is Letter of Intent.  This binding agreement is  between an institution and a prospective student-athlete.  While it is not required to sign a Letter of Intent,  you must sign an NLI if you want to accept an athletic scholarship from an NCAA institution.  Specifically, by signing an NLI, you agree to attend the institution for one year in exchange for the institution’s promise to provide you athletics financial aid for the entire academic year.
