An unofficial visit is a visit by a prospective student-athlete to an institution’s campus in which the expenses of the visit are covered by the prospective student-athlete or his/her parent or guardian. Under NCAA rules, a prospective student-athlete may only be provided complimentary admissions to an institution’s home contest and transportation to view an institution’s facilities.
